15 days grand tour of Morocco

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN CASABLANCA AIRPORT – RABAT

Pick-up from the airport and start a visit to Casablanca if your flight lands earlier, you may then see the Hassan II Mosque and experience the coastal “Cornish” seaside. Afterwards, depart to Rabat, the capital of Morocco! and spend the night at your Riad.

DAY 2: RABAT – ASILAH – TANGIER

After breakfast, we will visit the Hassan Tower in Rabat then drive to Tangier via Asilah; stop for pictures and admire the seaside. Following lunch we head to tangier and spend a night in your Riad.

DAY 3: TANGIER – TETOUAN – CHEFCHAOUEN

After having breakfast we start to drive through the Rif mountains and Tetouan city to enjoy the views of the beautiful mountains of Morocco till we get to Chefchaouen, one of the stunning villages in the feet of Rif mountains. Chefchaouen Medina (old part of the city) with its blue color became one of the best towns to visit in Morocco surrounded by many funky arts, crafts stores, rooftop restaurants and cafes. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

DAY 4: CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FES

After breakfast in the Riad our journey starts towards Volubilis crossing several Rif villages and beautiful countryside, we stop in Volubilis to discover the Roman ruins and we learn about the Moroccan BC history, then we will drive to Meknes city (the 17th-century heritage) where we will stop for lunch. The afternoon is time to visit the historical sites of Medina such as Bab el Mansour, Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Later on we head to Fes city where we will spend the night.

DAY 5: FEZ  SIGHTSEEING 

Today is for exploring the oldest city of Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter, the first Mellah ever built in as well as the most interesting sites of Fes with a professional guide. Overnight in Fes

Day 6: FEZ – SAHARA DESERT OF ERG CHEBBI

Early morning we start the day towards the Sahara from the Riad, crossing near the national park of Ifran, We will make a break in town of Ifran « the Switzerland of Morocco » as it calls To enjoy its beauty and to have memorable photos, after that we will head towards Azrou to see the Barbary Apes/ monkeys in the cedar forest then we Continuing to Midelt for a lunch meal in a restaurant. By the afternoon, we will cross the pass of Tizi N Telkom 1907m altitude to reach Errachidia while admiring the views of Ziz gorges, which offers amazing photographic opportunities. Later on we will have a stop in a panoramic view of Ziz valley. The drive continues to Merzouga passing by Aoufous and Erfoud, as soon as we Arrive at Merzouga we get ready for the experience of riding camels on the dunes for an hour and  half to enjoy the sunset. Overnight and dinner in a private tent campsite.

DAY 7: ERG CHEBBI – KHAMLIA VILLAGE – MERZOUGA

Perhaps make the most of your time in the desert with an early-morning walk over the dunes to enjoy the sunrise. We will leave for the village of Khamlia, which is originally from Mali, where we will have a cup of tea while offering us a small Gnawa music concert. Continue along the track of the Dakar Rally until arriving to the nomads where we will have a cup of tea while we make a visit to where they live, Return to the hotel with a stop for a panoramic view of the dunes, we will have lunch at a local restaurant to enjoy the typical Pizza of MEDFOUNA originally from Merzouga and we will have the afternoon free. Before sunset, we go to the highest dune to contemplate a romantic sunset. Accommodation at the hotel with swimming pool in Merzouga.

DAY 8: MERZOUGA – TODRA GORGES – DADES GORGES – OUARZAZATE

After having breakfast, meet your driver and head to Ouarzazate through Alnif, Tazzarine, Nkob, and the Draa Valley. Overnight: Hotel in half board included: Breakfast, Dinner.

Day 9: OUARZAZATE – TAROUDANT

Morning sightseeing in Ouarzazate, gateway to the South, includes a visit to the Kasbah of Tifoultoute and the School of Handicrafts, where you can view silver jewelry, pottery, stone carvings, and wool carpets created by local crafts workers. Stop in Ait Ben Addou, a picturesque ksar (fortified stronghold) decorated with geometric patterns. Later, take an afternoon drive to Taroudant along the fertile Souss Valley with a stop in Tazenakht to view its luxurious carpets. Arrive in Taroudant for your overnight stay.

Day 10: TAROUDANT – AGADIR – ESSAOUIRA

Early departure to Essaouira stopping for lunch on the way at the luxury seaside resort of Agadir, where pink flamingos watch as children build sandcastles and sunbathers delight in the rhythm of the lapping waves.

Day 11: ESSAOUIRA

Explore this old Portuguese fishing port with its 16th century harbor walls and 18th century French-designed fortifications and colorful houses. The main entrance to the harbor is through the Porte de la Marine, built in 1184 and decorated with two columns of a classical triangular pediment. A sandy bay sweeps to the south of this enchanting town, and wooded hills dominate the eastern skyline.

Day 12: ESSAOUIRA – MARRAKESH

After breakfast, head to your hotel in Marrakech, “ Pearl of the South”.

Day 13: MARRAKESH GUIDED CITY TOUR

The 15 days grand Morocco tour  still gives you a sensation for discovering Marrakech “the red city of Morocco”. We will ensure that you will see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadiens tombs, the Bahia Palace. After having lunch at a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks “traditional market” and explore hundreds of handicrafts. Afternoon, you will have some free time to look around by yourself in other parts of the city.

Day 14: MARRAKESH – IMLIL VILLAGE DAY TRIP – MARRAKESH 

Discover the Berber villages of the Atlas Mountains on a full-day trip from Marrakech that explores broad valleys and lush orchards with views of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. Ride a camel through a broad gorge, pause fortea in the Imlil Valley, then hike to the isolated village of Ait Souka to share a meal in a Berber family’s home. Throughout the day, take in the mountains’ beautiful scenery: terraced gardens that climb steep hillsides, tumbling waterfalls, and an alpine kasbah.

Day 15: CASABLANCA AIRPORT TRANSFER

According to your flight’s time, departure to Casablanca airport.
